Facebook buys WhatsApp for $19 billion in tech world’s largest buy

The world's biggest social networking company said Wednesday that it will acquire the popular cross-platform mobile messaging company, WhatsApp for $19 billion. The deal translates to roughly 9 percent of Facebook's market value. In comparison, Google's biggest deal, Motorola Mobility, stood at $12.5 billion, while Microsoft's largest was Skype at $8.5 billion. Apple, meanwhile, has never done a deal above $1 billion.

17 year old Bowen Student killed for rejecting sexual advances

UNILAG to name 15-storey female hostel building after Mama Peace

The University of Lagos management has revealed that its proposed 15storey female hostel building which they would start to build soon will be named after the wife of the president, Patience Jonathan.

Mama Peace is expected to be in Lagos on Friday, Feb 22, for the foundation laying of the project which is expected to gulp N3billion.

Lol. Every day, another weird story. Trained lawyer Cherrelle Campbell (pictured above before and after her procedure) paid $2,500 to undergo dimpleplasty on both cheeks to get the dimples she's always wanted. 

'I've always loved dimples but I wasn't blessed to be given big ones.When God was giving out dimples I was at the back of the queue. I find myself on the street or watching TV and anyone with dimples stands out to me. I was online with my friend and we were basically having a joke as to what procedures you could do and you couldn't do, and I was like: "wow, I didn't know you could have your dimples done. I gave it a bit of thought, contacted them and here I am. I wanted really deep ones so every time I smile, they're there and I'm glad it's for life as well. It's not something I'm going to have to repeat which is good.'
